Hello, I'm Allyson, founder of Beautiful Blinds by ALM. Every blind is made by hand — stitched, pressed and finished with the kind of attention only true craftsmanship can give. I create bespoke Roman blinds that bring softness, elegance and personality to your windows, using beautiful fabrics and precise tailoring.
Having successfully run my business in Surrey for more than a decade, I have now relocated to Challow, near Faringdon, bringing the same personal, hands-on service to customers across Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas.

Choosing the right fabric, style and finish
A helpful starting point — we'll go through everything together in person at your consultation.
Design Ideas
Add a personal touch with a contrasting fabric border to the sides, the bottom edge, or both. A variety of trims and beading options are also available, so you can create a finish that complements your fabric and suits your room.
Styles
Lined & interlined is the most popular choice — a practical everyday option made with blackout lining and a soft cotton wadding between the main fabric and lining, adding body, improving insulation and helping reduce draughts. Custom lined blinds are finished with a fabric of your choice on the reverse for a more decorative, coordinated look.
Suitable Fabrics
Linen and linen blends, cotton and cotton blends, woven fabrics, wool and wool blends, and medium-weight curtain or upholstery fabrics all fold neatly and work well. Very thick, stretchy, stiff or heavily embellished fabrics are generally less suitable. Silk typically has a shorter lifespan, around 7–10 years, as prolonged sunlight exposure can cause it to deteriorate.
Tracks & Chains
Every blind is delivered fixed to a header rail with a rotary chain, available in Chrome, Antique Brass, Bright Brass, Black Nickel or White Plastic. The chain can be positioned on the left or right — this is agreed at the time of ordering and can't be changed once the blind has been made.
